Are other people dressing up for it? Ask your friends if they're wearing dresses and skirts.
At school dances in junior high, nobody wore dresses, they wore denim and tank tops.
If you do dress up, make sure you wear some short shorts or something under a skirt because you don't want people seeing your underwear.
I wouldn't recommend wearing a dress because you'll get too hot because dresses are pretty skin tight.
Shoes don't really matter because you'll probably be taking them off as soon as you get there anyways.
Don't wear necklaces and long earrings because they will just get in the way when you are dancing.
Don't wear a lot of makeup.
Put your hair up because it will get hot. To make yourself look a little dressier, try curling it first than putting it up.

well, my daughters almost 13, so here she'll answer this 4 u................ Well u got 2 were somthin thats in style now. You definetly want something new, not white, not a dress, and probably something casual, but not to plain. Also it depends on the type of ppl thats goin 2 b there. Ask yo friend who goin and what type of party it is. Since i am not sure bout it then just go where somethin nice, but not expensive. here some brands ppl wear at my skool.... Baby phat/ south pole/ apple bottom/.

Well.....When I went to my first dance everybody wore a mini skirt and a elegant yet tasteful tanktop or a cami . I wore ballet flats and other ppl wore flip flops. Wear a tank top with a nice sweater, jeans or a skirt, and ballet flats. For your hair, i would just make a simple style like a loose bun or like this

and no makeup just wear lip gloss. wear small earrings and a cute, nice necklace. HAVE FUN!

wear a cute mini-skirt like the ones from abercrombie, or a pair of nice jeans, and a haltertop or babydoll shirt, not just a tee. Also find some cute flats. For makeup, you don't need any, but if you want to wear it, a little mascara, neutral eyeshadow, and gloss and thats it. For your hair you should straighten it or curl it, whatever suits ur hairtype. Have fun!

I f your the shy type you should wear a nice dress because shy and you might not be dancing but if not wear a nice jean with a nice shirt because u want to be comfy when you are dancing since it is cold then you can put on a maching boot and tuk it in your pants

First of all make sure it's something you can dance with. How about some jeans sneakers and a nice shirt. You'll look pretty and be comfortable. Have fun at the party

My daughter just wore jeans and a cute top- dress in nice school wear- comfortable but great looking. Be "secure and comfortable" Jeans will cover anything if you want to look good but have fun shaking it-no short skirts is what I'm refering to---be your age too and have a great time!

wear a denim skirt wid a pretty pink top(maybe a spaghetti or offshoulderz top)wear bootz n a sexy belt complete the look wid a matching purse

my parent wont really let me dress so sexy bu i can wear a mini skirt something a little that said punk like the skirt could be black with purple or blue or red and get a shirt that looks normal but with a color shirts these days are cool with colors and the shirt could have stripes of purple or black or red have fun!

Wear something that is flattering and fun. Get a nice dress that is'nt prom formal, but that also doesnt look too young! Dont try to be a hoochie mama.
