If he sits well I would say no. At that age with my babies I would just put a caot or something around their body to give more support. Also always make sure they are buckled. The baby will probably be so much happier seeing everthing rather than being in a carrier or a lap. Good luck/

There is no certain "age" to when a baby can or cannot sit in a high chair. It all just depends on your baby. If he sits up very well, then theres a chance that he would probably do good in a high chair. I would suggest taking a blanket to stuff behind him when hes in the high chair. Six month olds arent as big as older babies so they tend to kind of get swallowed by a high chair. Or you could buy the high chair covers they have now. And make sure to strap him in since he's still small enough to slide down.

You're the parent. I sat my daughter in her highchair as soon as she could sit up well on her own (around 6 months). I just strapped her in and didn't leave her unsupervised, even for a second. If I had to turn around, I kept one hand on her. I also made sure I got everything ready for her before putting her in the chair, so I wouldn't have to get up. Was I paranoid? Maybe, but she never fell out of her seat, either. :)

as long as he can hold his own head and body up without falling to the side the baby is fine to eat on the high chair :) my baby would fall asleep in hers all the time :)

No.. as long as he can situp and hold his head up good, he will enjoy sitting in it. I always put my daughter in one next to our table with plenty of toys to keep her occupied. Bring along a blanket to wrap around him to help him feel more secure... use the safety belt too... Good luck!

He should be fine as long as he doesn't flop to one side. In that case a rolled recieving blanket on either side of him will keep him upright.
