just a funny thing...i never liked the name Chris...named my daughter Christa. thought it was a pretty name, go figure. middle name Leanne. means Christ like a clinging vine. My son's middle name is Elliott. was my grandma's maiden name, but I just like it. When he was little, and getting into mischief, I hollered out Stephen Elliott! (as mother's sternly do). my son answered in a whiny voice "that's NAWT my name!" It is, but he thought I had called him an idiot. I had to explain to him how proud he should be of his name.

If you like the father's name or another male member of your family you could use that for a middle name.

Some examples:
1- my oldest brother's name is Robert Marlow and his wife's maiden name was Dieteman, so their kids are: Maxwell Robert-Dieteman Hanson (named after brother "Robert"), Joseph Marlow-Dietman Hanson (named after my dad "Marlow"), and Anthony Marc-Dietman Hanson (named after my brother's wife's mom "Marcolene").

2- another one of my brother's is Eric Matthew - his son is named Cole Matthew.

3- my third and last brother and his wife, his wife's maiden name was Lindell - their son is named Matthew Lindell Hanson.

4- my sister named my niece Arielle Elise (Elise was my grandma's middle name, it's also my middle name too!)

Also, my soon to be husband's name is Joseph and I plan on "Jordan Joseph" for my son's name or "Jack Douglas" after my mom who died, Jackie and my dad Marlow Douglas. Or a girl Sophie Rae or Hannah Rae (Rae is mom's middle name)

I like the thought of naming after a family member. :) I hope these helped! :)
