My husbands ex has always been in control even going against court orders.he just wants to bring the kids to couseling. They have been brain washed by the mom. She controls them in vistations and doesnt share holidays with us. He pays child support and more. Hes a good dad. But cause of the ex putting things in there head they never considered there dad there dad only for hand outs and money. He use to give them more just to get there attention. But in the last few years he has held back the extras cause he wants a true relationship with them. But they dont come over they dont call cause they dont get what they use to (a money sorce) they dont want anything to do with him. Unless he gives to them. Thats the way there mom is. always materilistic. and teaches them that. She cheated on him a few times. and with her guilt fills there heads with lies. How do you go and take her to court is it possible he can and request court ordered couseling? How do you do it with out a laywer?

Go to your clerk of court and they can help. You may need to get a Guardian ad litem(I think thats how its spelled). Basically, a third party will evaluate both households. If they find that his ex is "brain washing" the children they could be removed. Look up "Parental allienation syndrome" on the net.
I had a similar situation thru my divorce. I did not have enough contact with my children to keep my ex from "brain washing " my children. It took counseling and many months of contact to break the hold she had on my kids. If their mother is a master manipulator it may be difficult or near impossible to get the children back. Even a therapist may not help.

I can not believe all of the controlling woman out there. My husbands ex is doing the same exact thing to his 2 girls. He currently has court ordered counseling, but she is still getting by with brainwashing the kids. Make a long story short she wanted so much for the kids not to be a part of his life 5 years after their divorce she had the oldest daughter say he threatened to kill her 8 years earlier. He was found not capable of abusing a child in anyway by 2 different therapists, and she tried to take his rights away but that didnt happen. He still has his rights and has been in counseling with the girls for nearly 1 1/2 years. It is not making a difference because they are with her 90% of the time. She has them beleiving my husband is not their dad but their step dad is. It is really sick the things she has them saying. The therapist knows there is influence but will only acknowledge the father daughter relationship. So, what I am saying there are several people going through what you are, but be strong get an attorney, and might be a better chance for you if you ask the court for intervention before she is able to do anything else. If you can afford it you really need to hire an attorney if you want a chance.

talk to some one who know about filing motions in court and have them help you write one and submit it to the court and make sure she is mailed a copy (certified, receipt requested) and she'll have to appear or lose the hearing due to default. good luck

let me say how unfair i think she is being...
you NEED a lawyer! if you dont get one, you will likely lose in court! i am sure SHE has one!
