I am planning to go back to HK for work and looking for job in external or internal audit area. I wonder if my US CPA license helps while looking for a job over there. Thanks!!!!!

The HKICPA does not recognize the US AICPA certification, either in whole or in part. I know, that sucks, but that's the way it is.

It makes sense, though, since HK is a former English colony that followed mostly UK-style accounting GAAP. HK is moving more toward IFRS (while the US is still using US GAAP). So, yes, you can get a job in internal audit, but no, you cannot get a senior job in external audit (unless you are just a senior auditor and not yet a manager) as you cannot sign off on the audit.
