Terrified - I have one child already, and I know how much work it is.
I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and I'm measuring about 5 centimeters too big for my dates. HOPEFULLY this is just because I had two pregnancies close together (my daughter was 10 months old when I got pregnant again), and not because it's twins!! I mean, I've had three ultrasounds, and there has only been one baby each time! But there's that little doubt in my mind, and I'm terrified. I can't imagine having three kids under two. Just send me a straight jacket and a big, big bottle of tequila right now... :)
I know of a family who has 3 year old twins, a 2 year old, and 1 year old twins. Dad has had TWO vasectomies! Hahahaha... I guess if a baby really wants to be born, it'll find a way!

Well I definately wouldn't be terrified. Not like I am giving birth to spiders or something. And I would already be excited because I would already know that I was pregnant long before I found out I was having twins.
I think I would be both thrilled and a little nervous. Nervous because carrying twins is more taxing on the body and the likelyhood of a Csection goes up with twins. But I would be very excited because I would get 2 babies out of 1 pregnancy!
I like all my kids to have playmates so I have back to back pregnancies to get their playmate. :)

I was 23 years old when I found out I was going to have twins..I was also 5 months along before I found out. I was very excited, we have alot of family support so I didnt worry about finances too much. I am now 35 weeks pregnant with a singleton and I am more worried now because i know how hard it is to take care of 2 and now I will be raising 3 who are only 17 months apart.

I got pregnant with twins but lost them both in miscarriage..when i found out it was twins that iw as miscarrying i thought omg,i had two babies inside of me,what a miracle and i was wowed but then i thought it would have been very hard and scary...i never ever regret getting pregnant with twins and if i could di it over again but my babies survived then i would, even though it would have been scary and frightening i would never want miscarriage to happen,so im thankful i had the opportunity to carry 2 children at the same time for the little while i did =)

TERRIFIED!!! my first thought of having just one child, was "what am I going to do?" The excitement came later. Now he's grown, and I don't know what I would do without him. Could I have done two at once? Probably, and enjoyed it twice as much!

I think it's perfectly normal to feel both at the same time. Twins are a lot of work and more expensive than one...of course you're going to be a little worried wondering if you can handle it or not.
You'll be just fine and those babies are going to be the light of your life. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!
