We pick these, because they play a big role in our personality and the way we would style things. They also play a huge role in cultures, and colors symbolize many things. Why without these we wouldn't have our uniqueness.
Now many people pick favorite numbers so they can either have lucky guesses with them all the time, or either they like the way it looks. Mine is 8 because if you place it on it's side it's a symbol meaning infinity!

OK, we pick favorite colors because we like certain colors better because our human minds think, even with out us knowing it, and when we see a color we like a lot, our brain just thinks it's the prettiest color we've ever seen, so it's a new favorite color, and as for numbers, that depends on the person, maybe you like writing the number, it's a special date or basically anything like that.
