I think that is disgusting and parents should be responsilbe for what their children can and cannot see.....it is not our fault if we put a joke on that is only suitable for over 18s, because that is the audience that is "supposed" to be on here.

If I had a 10 year old daughter, I wouldn't be happy with her going on a web page like this, just purely because I don't think the contents is suitable.

Being a parent...I do believe that it is my responsibility to know what my child is doing....but...I have come to the realization that I can not know his every move. I can simply teach him right from wrong...monitor his activities...and hope that he has learned from what I have taught him. If he gets on a porn site for example...I can block the site...but I can't keep him from looking at the site from say, a friend's house. You can punish your child for making a wrong decision, but even that does not mean that your child will forever make right decisions from then on.
I have decided that I have to choose my battles...let the little things go....and fight the big issues....to me....my child being on Polls and Surveys or Jokes and Riddles, would not be one of the big issues...his choice of friends and decisions on drinking and drugs...his school grades and his behavior....those are big issues!
But I do believe that parents are responsible not only for their children....but to their children....

Well its people like me the main reason why that 10 year old shouldn't be on here, so I should really behave.... but seriously, f.uck that, let her parents be responsible, they decided to have her so they should be monitoring what she sees on the Internet, if I had kids, this would definately be in the restricted site list.
But she's probably smoking and drinking and having sex anyway.

well this is a bit of a first for me .....being serious i mean. I think theres far too many young people using this site and either the parents or yahoo should be monitoring or something. I know it's difficult for both parties but....children are exposed to enough rubbish today.....they grow up far too quickly because of these kind of things.

I don't think parents should monitor their kids every move. There are a lot worse sites out there that kids are seeing besides Yahoo! Answers. They should be aware of the sites their own kids are visiting and check the history but not sit there and watch them on the computer.

Given you a star for what it's worth!
I think it is a pity that areas of YA can't be adult only. I know this would be totally impracticle, but it might cut down on the violations
