what is your political view about same sex marriage? why do think politicians agree or disagree with same sex marriage? thanks

First of all, I think it's wrong.

Second, I don't think it's a matter for the Federal Government but a subject for the State Governments to handle. It's a local issue.

When the Federal Government gets into legislating morality, we are in trouble.

My personal opinion is that Same Sex marriage is a political tool used on both sides of the aisle to stir voting bases. Personally I think the idea is absurd as it is merely two people of the same sex trying to take advantage of tax breaks and insurance breaks and is more about personal greed among homosexuals than the need to have their union recognized.

Politicians agree or disagree depending on wether or not their voting base looks favorably or unfavorably on it and adapt themselves accordingly. Once upon time 30 years ago the conservatives were for abortion and the Liberals were against it. Why the flip flop. The Religious Right came out against it and the Woman's groups came out for it.

I refer to them as I don't prefer to be agree with the same sex marriage at all. I believe that many politicians don't agree with the issue as it doesn't base on the human life. The issue is about an offensive way to the government in this such way as to show how bad a country is actually.

Marriage under law is basically a contract, a partnership. When society made marriage a legal rather than religious institution, we simply gave up moral imperative. Same sex marriage as a legal right inevitable, as a moral or religious institution...that depends on your religion. Government should never have become involved with the sanctioning of marriage. It is none of their business!

it's not about "marriage" marriage is a Christian institution. it's about "civil marriage". and being held accountable to the State. it all boils down to money. money. money. and the only thing that makes it political is the question of how the politicians will make money off of it. and if you haven't figured it out yet, politicians are in the bussiness of making money.

Marriage has always been defined as between one man and one woman. Every time we put the question up to the people of this country, they overwhelmingly vote to keep it that way. The only people in government who say otherwise are the liberal judges (like Massachusetts) who want to impose their views on the rest of us.

I say let them if they want to. Though things like this lead to a lack of disciplinary, which leads to a lack of education/manners, which leads to a rise in crime (and in "colour revolutions"), which is the reason some politicians oppose it.
