the book "palestine peace not apartheid" has caused many to label president carter as anti-jew. this is the same president who brokered peace accords with begin and sadat. while he was never celebrated as a "GREAT" president (or even re-elected) i always thought of him as a pretty decent fellow, working with habitat for humanity and all...

what to think?

I'm pro-Israel but I think Carter has every right to voice his opinions. He isn't anti-semitic, conservatives want everybody to agree with them and not say anything remotely negative about Israel. Otherwise, they brand that person a Nazi. This is all about PC becuase we're all expected to support Israel and take its side. I thought conservatives were against PC but it looks they like PC.

It has nothing to do with taking sides; it has everything to do with historical, political, and intellectual honesty. In his book, he tells many half-truths and outright lies to make it seem that Israel is completely at fault, when it is Israel who fights defensively to protect herself against terrorists and fascists whose sole purpose in life is to slaughter her people. Carter accuses Israel of apartheid and racism, yet Israel allows all citizens from all religious backgrounds into her politics and culture, while the PLO and Hamas have both declared that no Jew born after "the Zionist invasion" (1917) would ever be a citizen of "Palestine."

Carter receives too much credit for Camp David. Begin risked his country and Sadat bet his life on the Camp David accords. Carter just took the credit.

His work with Habitat for Humanity is extraordinary, but his anti-Israel and anti-Jewish bias is appalling.

Jimmy grew to become into the final element the worldwide desires in politics. a good guy. alongside with being a fool that leads to failure. He grew to become into the 1st common supposedly awesome finished unqualified president elected by united statesa.. this led to double digit inflation, unemployment and expenditures of interest. he's a superb hand shaker yet not a frontrunner. Bama jogs my memory of him lots. No journey no skills and a super speech giver. As for Jimmy's e book. finished disinterest.

Anti-Semitism is a bad term since the Arabs claim they are Semites in order to hide the fact that they hate Jews. The correct term should be Jew-Hater. Hating people that are Jewish simply because they are Jewish. Islam is a Jew hating religion. The Jewish people are without a doubt the most persecuted people in history. They were persecuted by Muslims in every single Muslim country from the beginning of Islam. They were persecuted in Spain, Germany, Russia and just about every country they have ever lived except for Israel. When I say persecuted, I mean killed, slaughtered raped, held down as sub human, not just discriminated against. It is and was so widespread and so common there is a Yidish term for it. Pogrom. Look it up. The Jews only became safe when they returned to their original home; Israel. Anyone who believes the Islamic propoganda that the Palestinians are the poor exiles and should have their homeland back is bereft of historical fact. More Jews were forced out of Muslim countries and more Jewish property was confiscated by Muslim countries in the 20th century than Palastinians left Israel. Prior to Isreal's statehood there were more than 850,000 Jews living in Arab lands, fewer than 29000 remain. Most Palestinians left voluntarily because their Arab brothers told them to leave in 1948 and the armies would attack Israel, wipe out the Jews and then the Palestinians would return to their homes. Obviously the Arabs lost. In Fact, there is no such thing as a Palastinian, they are Arabs, just like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, part of Iraq, Kuwait, etc. They speak the same language, have the same religion and customs. Why don't these countries accept them? Because they use the refugees as a propoganda tool for the purpose of destroying Jews. Arabs are more to blame for the palastinian refugee problem than anyone else. There are so many facts I have left out but that would be a book. To answer the question, Yes!, Jimmy Carter is a Jew-Hater.

First of all "Anti-Semitic" is a term hijacked by Israel in order to play into holocaust guilt. As well as using it to sway public favor their way.

To disagree with Israel is not only smart but every person that does is it is a rung in the gold plated ladder on the way to Freedom from Israeli involvement. It's high time Israels custom, governmental and cultural undermining assimilating ways are put to an end!

Carter is a boob. He apparently feels Israel is "fascist" because it takes seriously its right to defend itself against terrorism and against enemies who surround it.

Dr. Martin Lther King, Jr. said it best, “When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You're talking anti-Semitism.”

Jimmy Carter is a joke. He was a terrible president and now he is a terrible x-president. His comments and opinions are anti-American. If he needs to talk politics he should talk about his own presidency like the American hostage screw-up or 13.5% interest rates.
He should shut his mouth and stick with building his sub-standard housing

You're not anti-Semitic if you disagree with Israel politically. You're only anti-Semitic if you have a problem with them because they're Jewish. (Some will try to make it out to seem like ANYTHING said against Israel is anti-Semitic, but that's not true.)

I think Israel and her friends are desparate for the truth about Israel to not come out. They savage anyone who tries to tell the truth about Israel. And, the Palestinians are semites, so the whole anti-semite thing is an ugly cannard.

Israel has become like the Nazis in the middle east. It's behavior is shocking and little known in the west because of a compliant press.
