Not sure if this is a good deal or not. Total, with coupons, it comes to $1,611.20. Looking at things from dell other people have gotten it doesnt seem like the best deal to me. Opinions? Thanks --have a fun superbowl =)

great specs, great deal > go right ahead & enjoy it

> just thought of pointing out: the 15.4" is gonna be pretty heavy to lug around, add to that a 9 cell battery ....pooh
do u need 9 cell ...

a 14.1" is outer limit for portability
... lemme know if u've explored that angle
_________

alternatively, try from dell stores > refurbished, but brand new .. returned mostly cause of incorrect specs / scratch n dent

That is a good deal. Good choice for the 256MB video card and 2GB DDR SDRAM will do all applications and definitely good for gaming. I bought a similar Dell laptop for my son who is now in freshman year of college. He has 1GB DDR SDRAM and has no problem with his music composing program or gaming. Also you pay more for the 9-cell lithium ion battery, but it supplies power much, much longer than the standard battery.

P.S. No, I don't work for Dell, I'm just a nurse with a son in college.

You may want to compare other laptops yourself, anyway. To compare, we went to many other sites that let you customize a laptop, set up the exact same configurations and compared the price....Dell ended up with the best price.
