I am a canadian and I am irked when I see hear the stupid announcers refer to this as the world championship.its that kind of attitude which causes the rest of the planet to take some delight when the US takes it on the chin like they are in Iraq.
Sadly the the Super Bowl is a tacky gaudy celebration of the excess of american life be it the commercials,the half time show,the way which restaurants,grocery stores try to hawk their items related to a football game in which only the participants derive any financial benefit. As neither teams have players which acyually live in the cities they are purported to represent.

I am going to celebrate the ignorance of others who participate in this frivolous redneck holiday. I will be glad that I am not them and do something creative and artistic like read a book, write some poetry or draw a picture.
