Why in the hell did they get married if you are going to betray them. There is NO EXCUSE to cheat. NONE! You are a complete loser no matter what if you cheat on your spouse......

People who cheat are sad, greedy, insecure people who need help. They're the kids in the candy store who already got one treat, but throws a temper tantrum because they didn't get 2 more, and another 2, and another 2 after that, so behind their parents back they steal all the candy when they're not looking. I've heard every excuse under the sun as to why people do it, "my woman doesn't give it up anymore, she doesn't do this, he's not giving me any affection, I wanna be cuddled", bleh bleh bleh bleh.
Regardless of the situation, the one factor among all cheaters is insecurity and selfishness. When you're confident in yourself, you have the healthy mentality of "I love you babe, and I'll stay committed, but I won't take any crap". Healthy people don't stick around for cheating, they don't stick around for beatings, or any of that drama. They look for the next person who best complements them. Insecure people stay in detrimental relationships so that they can have an excuse to wonder aimlessly for cheap thrills to boost their low self-esteem. They need this source of attention to feel alive. I suppose it's equivalent to being on drugs, drugs aren't really the root of your problem, it's that bully in high school who terrorized you for 4 years. Also you'll note in a happy long-term relationship compared to one that's a short fuse of resentment, the key element of COMMUNICATION is amiss. The insecures are so wrapped up into themselves, they fail to take the time to let their partners know in an ABC manner what is going on. They may hint at it, but hinting only leads to a possible wrong guess.
Therapy and a step towards self-healing is truly the only remedy.
I've said this before and I'll say it again and again to people who don't have a clue. Marriage is a time honored tradition all over the world, it varies in fashion from one culture to the next, but the concept remains - it's to show your truest devotion to the person you love. If you can't respect your partner by being their pillar of strength and being real with them, then you don't really love them and you have shamed that marriage. Work on yourself first before you take the leap, because it takes two to get married and only one to end it. Don't get married if you're not a contender.

Supposedly men cheat just because while women cheat because they are lacking something in the relationship. Regardless of the reason it is still wrong. If you are not happy in the current relationship be a man/woman about the situation and dissolve it.

I agree with you. Marriage vows today are not taken seriously. People who cheat probably never believed in what marriage is suppose to stand for in the first place.

You get bored...and hope for an opportunity to feel alive again. Relationships (where ppl cheat) are usually absent of emotion and sex.....finding comfort in someone else's attention and ...body heat...is human and completely natural. Not ethical...but natural...human nature. Don't be so harsh....you must have been burned, but usally when someone cheats it's not a surprise to the other person unless they are blind...because there are always signs.

yes, you are right there are no excuses to cheat, but most do it out being bored at home. finding someone younger,more attractive,etc. also they may be just plain cowards to tell there spouse they are not in love with them anymore. no one knows, but the person who does the cheating.

people get married for many reasons. they should never cheat on their spouse but some do out of pure loneliness. they obviously werent commited and needed something that the marriage didnt have.

agree cheating is unexcusable, but those who do have their own reasons or excuses. to me none is valid just them trying to validate their cheating.
