Ok. Thanks. Here's the thing. The day right after I replaced my RAM, my anti-virus software required me to uninstall and reinstall it. Given the timing, I'm trying to find an explanation. Any thoughts?

No, memory has nothing to do with your software. If you replace your hard drive you will then have to replace all your software.

No,All your programs which including your anti-virus are store in your hard-dice( except those chips sets in the mother board). You add RAM or replace RAM no need to reinstall the program.

no.....it doesnt have anything to do w/ ur ram......just make sure if u use more than 1 stick of ram that are different sizes that u put the bigger ram in slot 1 or ur ram will be out of run. Remember that if u use 2 diff types of ram ur pc will automatically downgrade to the slower 1......ur anti-virus will be fine.........enjoy!

No, adding or replacing ram doesn't do anything to the hard drive or your saved data.

No need to, as RAM (Random Access Memory) is what is "filled up" with information when you switch on your computer and "emtied" when you switch off again, i.e. no information is retained in the RAM.
