1. decide on what sort of palm tree you want
2. visit your nearest garden/landscape shop or even try out a hypermarket that sort and buy the seed you want
3. first plant the seed in a seed starter kit (can also get 'em in stores)
4. only transplant the strong palm seedling once it reach a height of about two feet or more.

option: you can always get the grown palm trees which are ready for transplant.

There are many types of palm trees. Which one did you have in mind?
The kind of palm tree that you see on tropical beaches come from coconuts. Do you think you could grow one - do you have the space and the climate?

First buy you a island in the South Pacific....... just kidding !!!
Try it like an avocado, put toothpicks into the sides, and put it in a glass of water in your kitchen window.
Get some "Root -Tone" from your local garden center to put in the water.
