like Biden, but when the GOP appoints so many black people to powerful positions in the gov't, they call them Uncle Tom's and House negroes? Isn't this offensive and unhelpful to the development of blacks?

nostradamus, are you high? Bush DID address the NAACP, as well as many black conservative groups, like Project 21. Please research this more before you post these crazy comments

He was the fisrt President not to address the NAACP EACH YEAR. Why do you ask so many questions about blacks anyway?

Yes, that does seem to be the case. I have even read an article that said Barack Obama isn't "black" enough because his is not descendant from slaves (his mother is white and his father is African - from Kenya). Therefore, some blacks feel that he does not represent real blacks in America.

Most blacks I know think that Joe Biden is an insensitive racist. He offends many races by his comments. Most blacks I know think that people like Rice are very smart and powerful but a slave to a horrible president.

People who don't use their brains will hate blacks who don't hold the traditional "Jesse Jackson" like views or will trust anything that come out of ones mouth simply because they are from the Democratic party. Black people are not all alike and we don't all think the same. We are as different as snowflakes. There will never be a unified "black" community who all think the same way because we all are at various places mentally. The Democratic party will continue to use blacks just to get the vote whereas the Republican party has figured out that they don't need the black vote to win.

yes! It doesn't help their development, but there is such overriding anger amongst the black population that they refuse to see that they are being baited by the Democratic Party who likes to keep the blacks as Slaves. They want bad government schools so that they can keep the blacks ignorant and poor and easily led to the socialized polls that keep them in power. Look at the leaders of the party, People like Robert KKK Byrd and Joe Biden and John Murtha and Wealthy Whites like Howard Dean and Hilary Clinton who will promise anything to anyone for a vote! It is all about power! If the majority of Blacks looked at their leaders, then they would ask why don't you suggest a solution for all of us that actually works and not more Gov't BS. The Black leaders are even worse and offer nothing but propaganda and stay poor, but do what we say and you will be rewarded. Where are the rewards? They won't happen because the Democrats never intended for them to happen, they just bought their votes with nothing more than a broken promise. Even worse is what happens when you ask the Democrat leaders how they are going to pay for it and they say, we will take it from the evil rich people (like themselves). No politician is going to vote for a bill that only increases Taxes on themselves. Think about it folks.
What the blacks need is some real leaders to stand up and help everyone not just themselves and their race.
Blacks would be amazed how many whites would actually vote for a black leader who actually wanted to lead America in a good unbiased sane direction like Herman Cain or someone similar.

I believe that you are as interested in what is offensive and unhelpful to black people as the Republican party is. I believe that you and the party you hold to, are equally worried about the plight of blacks. I am relieved by your interest. Makes me want to rally all blacks to the party that evidently shows such deep concern. I've been so blind! How could this have been missed by ALL the blacks?Maybe coloreds are just too busy dancin and jivin to have noticed. Why don't you come to where we are and educate us? I'll organize a group.....free at last, free at last!

my guess would the the blatantly partisan rescue effort after hurricane katrina.

sorry, you don't get to look at black people in desperate need of help, say to them that it's too bad they are mostly dems, and ever ever ever ever hope to gain their support.

currently 2% of blacks in america support republicans and every study i've seen about this has a 2% error range - which means that it is likely that the real number is 0%.

if republicans ever want to get support of minorities they need to drop their 'america is for white christians' bit that they've been pushing for 15 years now.

but it got bush elected twice, so they're not likely to.

oh also, bush is the first president to not address the NAACP.

first ever.

you republicans must be so proud...

Actually, I didn't think that Biden's comments were offensive. More importantly, Obama didn't think so, either. And not only that, but I don't recall any Democrats referring to black Republicans as "house negroes" or "Uncle Toms".

The democrats continue to spew their racists remarks..,like Howard Dean with the comment about black people and work staff,Robet Byrd and his N*I*G*** comments. It just shows how ignorant those politicians are.Slowly many people are waking up to this fact and seeing it time after time. One can only hope that the left keeps stepping in it.
