Start learning about first aid and CPR
Try to read books on fire engineering
Check out what type of drivers licence you need to drive fire trucks and get this licence and air brake course
Get yourself physically fit.
Check with your city for qualifications they want for the job.

Start looking at taking your core college classes while you are in HS, or even look at getting your EMT-B certificate done while in HS, and then you are just that much farther ahead. You should also be looking around for area colleges that offer fire science classes, and a fire academy. Some fire departments only require a GED, and some departments require 40 college hours and firefighter/paramedic certification. Research local fire departments and find out their qualifications. Also, keep your record clean because you most likely will have to do extensive background checks and lie detector tests. Stay physically fit, and keep your goals in sight. Good luck.
