try that
go to network connection -> proprieties -> tcp/ip -> put IP number
ex: 192.168.1.1
the Other computer

not: only the last number should be different
ex:
1st computer 192.168.1.(55)
2nd computer 192.168.1.(3)
now the 2 computer have IP address
make restart if needed
now try to share. ( if not )
run a home network wizard -> make sure they have the same group name, and allow to share files

Trying to connect those operating systems can be definitely a headache, I can tell you how to do it but the process sometimes isn't successful, so, the easiest way to do it is using a router, and activating the file sharing on both PCs.
Here is the way to do it.
Right click on the file or folder you want to share> Click Properties> Click on the Sharing tab> Click Share this folder on my Network> Put a name for it> Click Apply> Click Ok
Hope that this process can help you.
Good luck!

best idea is to manually burn the files to a disc and then unload them onto the other pc. Since they are two very dfferent operating systems, they are most likely not compatible.
