I made an applications and I want it to start up when you log on to Windows.

Create a shortcut by right clicking the exe file. Then copy the shortcut to the "Startup" folder of the "Programs" folder of the "Start Menu" folder of the ("All Users" folder or your logon id folder) of the "Documents and Settings" folder. You can get there easily by clicking the "Start" button, then "Settings", and then "Taskbar and Start Menu...".

You can make a batch file and just tell the batch file to run the program when windows is opened just do a search on batch files and running when windows is opened

You will have to add the component to the programs with a new string code. Check the web for the string and command lines.
