I love mysteries. I want to become a Police officer. I do enjoy helping people and I think that would satisfy the need to help with the need to slove mysteries.

Like what you do, do what you like doing.
If you don't like your work that's survival;
If you like your work no matter what it is that's adventure.
It still comes down to YOUR choice.

Have you tried working at a temp agency? I get the feeling that you lose interest in long term occupations quickly. Short term work assignments in different places may be more appealing and stimulating. Not only that, but it will give you some idea of the things you're interested in and good at...perhaps pointing you in the direction of a desired career.
However, while this is a temporary fix...I strongly encourage you to go back to school asap. Consider alternative schools, on-line courses, or something like ecpi...traditional schools just might not be affordable or right for your learning style.
Also, it may be that college isn't right for you right now, but part of being an adult is not allowing excuses to get in the way of completing the things that just have to be done. Its probably the only way you'll find a job that will keep your interest. Its also becoming the only way most people will earn acceptable wages these days and the jobs you mentioned in your blurb are mostly the type of lower wage jobs that are available to people w/o degrees.
Good luck and may you find the right path.

First off, keep trying with college. Overcoming obstacles prooves you're determined.
Look into community college. You can get your 'feet wet' with school, ensuring its something you WANT to do after a year or 2. Its cheaper than a 4-year school and your credits should transfer so it won't waste your money.
In the meanwhile go work at a hotel as a desk clerk. I did that when I was starting out. I worked my way up and now I have a great career with an international hotel company.

You need a bit of positive drive. You have the most power over your life, if you want to concentrate with college then you will need to stay focused and get through it. There are many problems that people face, and they ones that succeed are they ones the preserver through it all.
Get your life goals into order, and think of where you want to be, and how you are going to get there. You need a plan to get from A to B.
Make sure you are doing a career or job that you enjoy, and don't let life pass you by.

Well all the jobs you have had are rather lowly, with no need for any education or experience. The fact hat you are finding excuses not to go to college doesn't help either. I take it you are not hot on what you are supposed to be doing at college?
Can you not think of something that would make you go to college, because without it, you are always going to be bumming around menial jobs with no future.

Try looking on the Manchester University Careers website. It has lots of advice on choosing a career based on your skills and likes and dislikes.

Once you have decided what you want to do then you can research how to get there and concentrate your time and effort on that. Employers will be a lot more impressed if you can explain why you have decided to do something and you are also far more likely to stick at it and succeed if you have made a conscious decision rather than drifting into something or following someone else's recommendation.

You don't say what your problems with the college are, maybe you should try one that offers courses which you can study at your own pace, even at home. There's no pressure, you learn when you feel like and you take the exams when you're absolutely sure you're ready.
For working, I agree with the girl who suggested temp work. It'd be a good way to find out what kind of of job you're good at and what you like to do. Good luck.

There are highly marketable skills that can get you money to relieve financial pressure with out a college degree.
Such things as a cosmetologist license, short order cook, x-ray technician, etc.
As soon as you have this highly marketable skill that can get you money (but not make you rich), then plan your future in college with some financial independence even if it is part time.

Focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, stay in College and come out with a piece of paper that shows you CAN APPLY YOURSELF.
Drop out and employers think you cant apply yourself.
Short term pain for long term gain.
Believe in Yourself
