No. Your parents need to claim you as a dependent. You may be able to file a dependent return to get any taxes you paid refunded to you. I'm not sure any tax was withheld from your paycheck though. Good luck.

Get a copy of the 1040 Instructions (at www.irs.gov, or from your library) and see Chart B on page 13.

You can file to claim any withholding that was deducted from your pay but your parents should claim you as a dependent on their tax return and make sure you indicate you are claimed as a dependent on another persons return.

You do not need to file a tax return if you don't get anything taken out. If you didn't have fed or state taken out so you can get it back you do not have to file if you make unter 5,150.
