whats really funny about this scenario, George Bush Sr. Has been criticized for years about leaving the kuwaities to defend themselves after telling them to rise up against the Iraqi power. Liberals used that as a point to get him out of office. Because he
"cut and run", but now for some reason its alright?
If we pull out too quickly we are just asking for more problems.

What is needed is for that Iraqi mother to look into the eyes of her own sovereign and capable government to feel secure in her country. No, I would not be capable of telling an Iraqi mother this. Not worth it? Thousands of our soldiers have died and been maimed to help her. Would she be capable of looking into the eyes of an American mother who has lost her son or daughter and tell that mother that her child's life was not lost in vain? That her country is now safe thanks to us? If only she could. This goes both ways, please remember that. While you are plucking our heart strings we are caught in a civil war between factions in this mother's country. And that mother's life is no safer, apparently, than it was before we invaded this country. Now it's just different people after her and her family instead of Hussein - and are the men in her family fighting in this war, and if so, on which side? Have one of them possibly shot at our soldiers for trying to stop them from shooting at one of their enemies? The fog of war has hurt her, hurt us, and continues to hurt all of us. The key word here is "fog," because that's we have over there right now, no clarity, just fog. While I feel for that unknown Iraqi mother, I feel for the mothers in THIS country that have sacrificed their sons and daughters, only to see the continued chaos on their television each evening and the reports of more of our young people who have died. If the imagined mother in our country could look at Iraq and say that we were successful in our mission, she might better be able to sleep at night. Let's try to get to a place of relative sanity and progress in Iraq before we start leaking at the eyes by thinking your Iraqi mother is any safer now than she was six years ago.

Sure,Let's give it "one last try", THEN look them in the eye and say Bye-bye. sounds like a winner to me, or when that time comes, should we give them ONE-more last try, and after awhile, A third-last try ,and so on and so on....Reality is....We can stay there forever, and a GI with an automatic weapon is not going to heal the problems in that country, and you are absolutely right, some eyes do need opened to the truth

100% Correct. Too many make up lies about oil and puppet governments and fail to realize that the people of Iraq are free. They are free to vote, participate in government, free to speak with being buried in mass graves. Their is a human aspect that many fail to see. All deserve freedom even the people of Iraq.

I agree with you. The cut and run crowd doesn't understand the nature of our enemy, and how much the people of Iraq appreciate us.
