I recently asked about a home solution to take stains off of countertops. Someone suggested scrubbing with a baking soda and water paste. After trying everything else imaginable, I was amazed at how easy that did the job! Does anyone know any other little cleaning solutions...stuff you find around the house...that are as effective?

Matter of fact, they didn't even have a Walmart on every corner!

Absolutely! vinegar is one of the best home cleansers! If you want to get rid of mildew in your laundry,( or anywhere just about,) - Use vinegar.!! It also gets rid of hard water spots, acts like a de-foamer, good for carpet cleaning, etc. If I'm cleaning, I'm using vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, and those wonderful eraser pads!( I also like oxygen cleansers, & borax. ) You can go to cleaning sites for more info.

Shout! works amazing. We got red wine on our tan carpeting and it took the stain out completely. You can't even tell. Shout! also works on clothing if you have stains on them just by spraying and irritating (rubbing).
