my computer keeps going on standby when i either get dissconected from the internet, or i play my favorite game... star wars empire at war...
HELP PLEASE!!!!!

If turning off the options for standby in the power options section of control panel does not work, you may have a virus or worm.
Reboot the computer, hit F8, select "Safe Mode, No Networking"
it will take awhile for the computer to run in safe mode, and run virus scans and software scans. AVG has free virus and spyware scan programs at: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Right click on the screen and click on properties. Then click on the tab screen saver and click on the power. An at the bottom there are the setting for turning off and standby.

go to control panel, go to performance and maintenance then click on power options
