no, but once put a cup with a tiny line of gold around the top edge and the result was a mass of very pretty lights flashing and twinkling inside the microwave... no time to turn things off before I needed a replacement cup. Next time drink the coffee cold..........
A friend found ants on some food and put them in his micrwave, after two or three minutes the ants showed no sign of trouble

Yes....it's a ***** ain't it? I've gone through 7 microwaves too. Just can't the help these days. In the good old days the maid would have hand-washed them, and done the cooking.
