wise up (it's not going to stop) - aimee mann. there are some soft lyrics in this song but i think if they are placed well it would be very meaningful (it's not going to stop - till you wise up)

It's not what you thought
when you first began it
You got, what you want
now you can hardly stand it though
well now you know

It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
Til you wise up

You're sure, there's a cure
and you have finally found it
You think, one drink
will shrink you to your underground
and living down

It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
Til you wise up

these are some of the lyrics to the song - it was my recovery song when i was in rehab - been clean and sober almost a year now :) good luck with your campaign!

Just what America needs, another depressing song to remind us that drugs are bad.

"Crown of Love" by The Arcade Fire would probably work perfectly. It's not instrumental, but give it a listen and I think you'll agree that the lyrics are incomprehensible and just add to the dreariness.

Find something from Kronos Quartet. They are the group that did the soundtrack for Requiem for a Dream, which is itself one big antidrug commercial in film form. They have some fabulously emotional and gut-punching rhythms on the soundtrack. You can get it off itunes or Y!tunes or wherever.

I bet you can't go wrong with something from that cd.

Great Gig in the Sky (Pink FLoyd: Dark Side of the Moon). Its a lovely, yet spooky piece of music. There are backing vocals (no lyrics) and that makes it really uncommon. There are two noteworthy versions of that song.....Dark Side is the studio version. Pulse...the live. I love both. Its fun to play on the piano too. Are you anti drug? I am too. Drugs kill everything.

U2 - Sometime you can't make it on your own

or

Coldplay - Fix You

Two really great instrumental songs that also have deep meanings.

Goodluck!
