Erm tell her about how you feel and why you kissed her on her cheek instead of her lips , that may have put doubt in her mind . Just ask her and see .

No I don't thinks it wrong or anything negative. The best thing I would do is to let her know that you are interested yet you want to take it slow. Explain to her that kissing her on the cheek, you thought was being a gentleman and you would like to kiss her on the lips when she is ready. I can't say if you are sure or not about the relationship yet I can tell you to take your time and be honest with her and build a good communication with her so that she will not have doubt in her mind. Best Wishes to you.

Judging by the fact that you haven't dated for 24 years indicates that you and she are a bit older. I think she will be ok with it. You still showed interest in kissing her cheek. If you had done nothing might have indicated you weren't interested. But, I think you are worrying too much about this. Go out on another date and if all goes well then give her a kiss on the lips, man! Always remember when dating early on, just go with the flow and try not to worry about all the details. Oh, and remember to have fun!

Your fears/doubts are common, after a first date. From what I'm hearing, I don't think you've made any mistakes, regardless of where your kissed landed! If she sincerely likes you, then the women is not going anywhere!! And if she does move on, then it just wasn't meant to be! BTW......if you do care or are interested in this woman, have you followed the first date up with a phone call, flowers, card (something) to confirm your sincerity?
(Because, she's most likely home worried with the same fears as yours).
So, what are you waiting for, when you could be enjoying a second kiss!
Good Luck!

I don't think you made a wrong move, I wouldn't worry so much about it. Make sure she knows that you want to see her again, and kiss her on the lips at the end of that date.

it's all good, I think it's sweet. Besides one time on a first date I shook the guys hand when we said goodnight (smooth) then he asked if he could have a hug and I felt so cheesy. Turns out im married to this same guy. So don't worry there is nothing wrong with takeing it slow and being a gentelmen/lady....

First of all give yourself credit for ven getting back into the dating game. That takes alot of courage. Your shy and worrying to much. You want to take things slow but at the same time don't want to do anything to mess this up. Just relax be yourself and when your ready plant one on her!!

there's nothing wrong with kissing her on the cheek. she probably just thinks you're shy. i actually think kissing on the cheek is cute! and in no way does it mean you're unsure about the relationship.
