Hey, I've been using Paypal and eBay or awhile, but before now, I've only bought things. I'm thinking about starting to sell some things I have lying around the house, and I was just wondering, when someone buys something from me with Paypal, does that money go directly to my credit card, or can I get in cash? I'm sure it says it on the site, but I haven't looked yet. Thanks for the help.

When you sell something, and the buyer pays using PayPal, it is credited to your PayPal account directly and an email sent to let you know the money is in so you can ship the item out. You then have the option of leaving the money in your PayPal account to be used for later purchases on ebay or you can have it transferred to your bank account. Note that ebay will charge you fees for selling an item depending on the starting price and sold price which will be debited from your bank account or as you have it setup before you begin selling. I'd suggest you check their site out for specific details.

There are a number of ways to get your $$ from Paypal. I suggest you read all of their stuff before signing up. Also be prepared to have them keep at least 3% of all the $$ sent through them including the shipping & insurance costs. It makes no economic sense to sell low priced items and pay eBay fees and Paypal fees unless you don't mind making about $2.50 an hour for your efforts. That's one reason there's so much price gouging on shipping costs from some eBay sellers. Also be aware that the eBay listing fee has just gone up again. How much money is enough for those guys?

I have been selling for a few years now. When someone pays you for the item it goes into your Pay Pal account, you can either have it transferred to your bank account which usually takes about 4 days, or you can get a Pay Pal debit card and you can use the money right away. Good Luck to you.

It goes into your PayPal account and you're charged over 3%, so your net is less. Then you can withdraw to your bank account for free or there are other pay options.
