My sister has been working at her job for a year now and she just turned 18 but she technically spent the majority of the time at her job as a minor. She filed as "one" and she is still in high school. Will any of this matter come tax time?

Will she get back everything that was taxed or will she pay?

It depends on her income and how much was deducted. Her age is irrelevant.

Yes.

If her income exceeds the dependency requirements then she can no longer be claimed by the parents or head of the household, even though she is still getting support from them.

She needs to file a return to get some or all of the money back.

If she made under $5,150 she doesnt have to file if she didn't have anything taken out. If she did and wants to recoup the money she will have to file a return. If she is claimed as a dependent on your parents return her exemption will not be claimed and she may owe some taxes. My daughter made $6,000 and paid $30 of taxes and she owed $60 however she got back from her state taxes money so it offset what she owed.

depending on the amount of income - you earn money, you get taxes. It doesn't matter about the age of the taxpayer

Your parents, depending on her income, should still claim her as a defendant because it means much more to them. This means she CAN NOT claim herself. There is no way to tell if she will have to pay or if she will get a refund without much more info

Being a "minor" has no bearing on the return.

You can only get the final answer if you fill out the return.
