Irfan Pathan is defenitely required for the world cup as he is a talented allrounder. If he bowls well, India can opt for an additional batsmen in the team thereby strengthening the batting line up.

Irfan Pathan does and does not desire a position in the team as earlier he used to give inswingers and outswingers which were very effective but nowadays he has lost all the swinging balls. But during the Ranji Trophy he has done some good bowling and can do a great comeback

Irfan has no form in the current scenario. He was once a bowler who bends the ball back into the right handers pads. That was his main weapon.
As in the present day, he seems to have lost all of that. He is no more an effective bowler. Zaheer is coming back well and taking wickets. I think Irfan needs a much needed rest from international cricket. He must play county or domestic cricket in order to improve his game.
But all an all, he is a fine bowler when in full flow. So lets hope he gets back into his usual bowling form and starts producing those beauties to the batsman very soon...

He deserves a place in the indian team for the world cup because he is an all rounder and has done well for the team in the past. India has two world class spinners and have a decent opening bowler named Zaheer but none of the other bowlers Agakar, Patel, Sreesanth are consistent hence the inclusion of Pathan gives us an option. In ODI pace bowlers play a major roll for some reasons.

nicely if he needs to go back lower back he has to advance his bowling plenty. he's considered as a bowling allrounder so he has to finish extra with ball somewhat than bat. all of us comprehend he's sturdy batsman yet his accepted activity is to bowl nicely which he would not do at consistent foundation.in the present day we've extra perfect bowlers than him yet he's an outstanding prospect for indian cricket.
