I think that I followed the plot right up until the last moment. When someithing weird happened when David Dunn shook hands with Mr Glass. Did he cause David to commit acts of terrorism? Mr Glass's mother had explained that one type of villain can play bad mind tricks and we soon discovered that Mr Glass was an arch villain and therefore David his possible nemesis. There were then explosions, fires etc.The on-screen explanation was too quick to read though it seemed to say David was in prison for acts of terrorism?

Noooo! It is confusing though!

Through the movie we see that when David touches someone he 'sees' the crimes that they've done (when he's in the shopping mall he brushes past a few people, the woman who had shop-lifted, the man who had broken into that family's house, etc).

At the end, David shakes hands with Mr Glass - the first time he's touched him - and sees that Mr Glass had started a fire in a hotel, caused a train crash etc. There's also lots of newspapers on the wall showing articles of terrorism, and 'accidents' that have killed people.

The idea is that Mr Glass had committed all these acts to find someone who wouldn't die from them - he caused the train crash at the beginning on the movie, from which David was the only survivor.

He justifies this by saying that he did it so he would know that he had a place in the world, and wasn't just a freak of nature.

At the end it says that it was Elijah (Mr Glass) that was committed to an institution for the criminally insane.

Hope this clarifies it a bit!

Long time since I've seen the movie, even forgot Bruce Willis Character's name but Mr Glass did all the acts of terrorism, including the train incident so he could find his "nemisis". The guy was screwed up in the head. Comic books were his only refuge so his view of life became warped. The flashbacks were just showing the acts he's done. He figured there must be a balance to the universe and if someone could be born so fragile as him then there must be just the opposite, someone who was virtually unbreakable.

I actually thought it was a very good movie and probably the movie that comes the closest to showing what it would be like if it turns out there were people who had real "super abilities".

Mr Glass commited all the acts of terror in an effort to find his 'comic book opposite', his mother had told him that there would be someone an exact opposite to him ie. unbreakable

Hail
What it basically means is that Mr Glass thought he was a super hero, as it turns out he was..........he was Mr Lego. He commited the acts of terrorism to find his exact opposite, Mr can't touch this.

M. Night Shyamalayn is a my favorite Director all of his movies are great in that you really have to pay attention to the movie to understand it! Some others are: "The Sixth Sense" (1999), "Signs" (2002), "The Village" (2004) and "Lady in the Water" (2006). He has more but those are just some of my favorites. You should check them out!

earlier you saw david, reading peoples minds with a touch,

he saw everything Mr glass had done in his search for his opposite, someone unbreakable, when they shook hands, that was the first time they touched. So he saw all the killing and disasters Mr glass had caused
