I don't care about losing the 5 points. I just like to post questions. But I guess it would be nice not to lose points. Either way it doesn't stop me! I just wish I had unlimited questions. lol! By the way, you get back a couple of points when you choose a best answer.

I am not sure, I do know that sometimes people report you for something that you might not have meant the way they thought, and then you lose 10 points and sometimes Yahoo will send you an e-mail saying that they can close your account for a violation and you might not have meant for that violation to happen. So now I am just careful what I say, or do on Yahoo. I enjoy coming here and don't want to offend anyone. =)

Well it really only costs 2 if you resolve your question by picking a best answer. No big deal, really. If you don't get any answers you get your 5 points back and the answer is deleted. I've heard of lots of people having their answer deleted for no good reason, I think that stinks. It's only 5 points and they are meaningless anyway.

I dont really care because you get 3 back by choosing a best answer, and if you answer a question it is another 2 so you've got your points back. Thats how I see It. I like to answer question though, I do ask a couple.

It's a game...you gain points by answering questions...you lose points by asking questions...but...you get points back for picking a best answer.
I sat in the voting section for an hour this morning gaining one point at a time...voting on best answers....sounds silly maybe...but I reached my goal!
Just remember....you gotta play it like it's a game...

I guess I agree, because you have to earn back those points by helping other people. It keeps people from just asking and never sharing their knowledge with anyone else.

I've been on here about a year and the whole points this is rather meaningless, they keep saying they are going to do "something" to provide awards for certain levels, but it ain't hapening

the points are just numbers - they really don't mean anything it will be ok. besides some are better at asking than answering and vice versa just go with it.
