This is a great question. For such forms
I always check off all of the boxes. This
information is none of the governments
business. It just adds to racial strife and
fuels arguments. I think such questions
should be highlighted in language reminding
folks that answering them is entirely voluntary. At which point, it becomes useless
to even ask the question.

You have asked a fantastic question. You obviously do not fall into the category of Hispanic, unless you are a Spanish descendant. The right category for you is OTHER.

The term American Indian is misused by all of us in the USA, because it reffers only to US Indians.

In reality, America is the entire hemisphere. So, to prevent further misinterpretations, you should select Other, and if there is a blank space to name what "other" you refer to, write "S.A. Indian" (South American Indian).

Good luck with your job application.

nicely, Asia regularly refers back to the continent, no longer a lot the persons. I knew many Indians who considered themselves as Asian and checked that container... yet once you prefer to be defiant of the government's archaic device of "race classing" people, then you definately could verify different. there is not any clarification why people who don't extra healthful the 4 races--Oriental Asian, Black, White, or Hispanic--would not have their container, too...

Clearly you are an other.

But you could also check Asian.

If you're unsure as to what category to put yourself in it would only be logical to put other, if you get the job and they have questions as to what nationality you are then deal with that issue.
