If you live in a rural area and have your own well system, it's most likely the air volume control on the end of the reservoir tank. They have a small diaphram inside that regulates the amount of air in the tank, to keep the pressure up to push out the water. For some reason they occasionally break and then you get air in the lines. I have the same situation and keep a new AVC on hand so I can change it when it's needed. It's about a 1/2 hour job, requires a small crescent wrench and a small pipe wrench or screwdriver, some teflon tape or pipe thread dope. Turn off the pump breaker or remove the fuse, drain the tank, unscrew the old one, put the new one on. Keep a small pan handy, for water leakage while you're changing units.
If you had a loose pipe, it wouldn't be drawing air, it would be leaking water.

I need to know how to repair this problem. It has only begun since the weather has gotten so cold.

A water pipe may have froze and busted. Turn off all your faucets and find your water meter, usually by the road, and open the plate, do not be afraid of "Creepy Crawlies" as the cold keep them away. Look at the meter, may need a paper towel to wipe dirt off the glass, there a little star looking thing and see if it is turning. IF, it is turning you have a water leak somewhere and need to find it. If, it turning very fast, it a bad water leak and your water bill is quickly going up. This the only thing that would allow air into the pipes, unless they recently worked on the main lines down the road from you and then the water usually dirty looking.

Sounds like one of your pipes is loose, drawing in air. If it were a one time deal, leaving the water running would evacuate all the air. The logical thing to do is look for a loose pipe or a leak to repair. Since it is both hot and cold water, try looking a the water source before it reaches the hot water tank.

shut off the water at the main source open the top tap at the highest point in the house then open the most bottom let the water drain out until it stops coming out then, open the main water source shut the lowest point then last the the highest point this will bleed all the air out, if it continues after this you must have a small leak in the system most likely a small rubber tap washer. or maybe a leak near you automatic dish washer, see if there is any water under there if you have one.

Usually by allowing the water to run for a period of time, in essence bleeding them, should alleviate the problem
