Zuckie~ Dahling~ you may be in style for one season or two with this method, but overall you loose out.
I'm sorry, read no more if you are just too full of spring fling energy to care.
I am 50. Always stylish and always have been. I buy quality classic styles that are always in style. This method illiminates excessive buying and having a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear.
From my late teens I adopted this method. When all of my girlfriends were shopping for clothes, make up, accesories and shoes. I was investing in real estate. I ran with a gang of professional young ladies, we all made more than enough money to maintain ourselves. When we had get togethers at my house (that I was buying) they would all complain they were broke! Nothing to wear, no cool make up, not the best shoes, etc. I would sit with nothing to say. Since I had plenty of money in the bank, plenty to wear and the best shoes.
Finally one day I was sick of these silly women. I spoke up and told them this.
If all you do is spend more money than you make, on things that depreciate as fast as the sun going down, you will always be broke and in the same state of nothing to enjoy. I ranted at them for a good few minutes. Why aren't you thinking of your future rushing up upon you? Where will you live in a few years? What will your 30's look like? They were dumbfounded for a moment and then they all giggled and said well it's easy for you, you make more money than we. But when I told them what I made a year they were sure it was a lie.
Honey, make your money work for you every day.
Fashion hype is just that, hype. Use your best judgement and buy quality classic styles. Invest your savings in something for tomorrow.
Oh, me? My car, a nice 05 suv is paid for, my house in a great area only 4 years old, it's paid for. My closet is loaded with stylish classics and I'm ready to go anywhere in 1/2 hr. I have zero debt. I'm single and prefer that, since men often spend as foolishly as their female counter parts.
Take care of yourself and your money.
FYI, if you are filthy rich and money is no object then I apologize for the whole silly rant. But maybe someone who isn't so lucky will be motivated to stay home from the Spring Sales and look over some real estate ads or investment articles.
Very best of luck,

You can look through current fashion magazines to see how clothes are being put together for this spring. Your body type is also a factor; someone who wears a size 13 probably won't wear the same thing as a size 3. Go out and try on some of the new stuff!

shirts should be simple and classy. i like blouses and collared shirts. basically anything. i'm not a big fan of tshirts, though.
jewelry should also be simple. try layered necklaces. again, anything works, just as long as it doesn't look too much.
shoes. sandals, flats, and flip flops.
colors: light, pale colors
