I ve heard of this Bose Einstein Condensater. Not sure what it does, can some plz explain?

Also i ve heard that it can freeze light to a stand still ! is this really possible..... how will the nature of photons change if so??

There is a lot of research going on to try to freeze light.
No one will say much about it,it is a very competitive subject.
They believe a photon can be contained in a sort of resonance chamber called a reverse opal.
The light would not be frozen it would be kept in a continued state of acceleration until they were ready to release it.
A light gate!

Bose Einstein Condensate is a phenomenon whereby some materials at very low temperatures have quantum characteristics at the macro level.

To freeze light you would have to be at about absolute zero. We havent got to it, but this still is an amazing acheivment.
