Your quesiton is too short to fully know what you want answered. So I can only assume this is what you are wanting answered.
It all depends on whether you have an employment contract and the policies in your company. A company legally can require people to be on call.

It would be something to try! One thing i would look into is what other time frames are around it to do all the necessary things such as cashing pay checks and shopping for all the essential needs. Plus keep a cell phone on hand to where you can answer adequately.

Not understanding your question/statement. If it's a good thing (extra money, extra hours, etc.), make sure you get it in writing. If it's a bad thing (no compensation), then try to recall if you signed any papers stating that you had a set shift. Good Luck

As does mine. As an operations manager, I am on-call 24/7. I get very well compensated so I don't have any issues with this.
