I'll prolly catch heck for this one. Women can be like whining dogs in this regard. If you reward your dog's bad behavior by giving it a bone to get it to stop whining, then all you've done is positively endorse the offending behavior. So DON'T mollify a nagging wife. If it gets bad, and it's over stupid stuff like maybe an out of place sock, do just the opposite, say, empty your sock drawer onto the floor. But you can't reward nagging or it'll just make things exponentially worse in the future. That is, unless you're goal is to be a henpecked hubby. Give her Dr. Laura's book "Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands", it may help your cause.

By stopping doing things to aggravate and upset her... Why dont you try sitting down with her and just talking and communicating with her... Maybe the only way she thinks you hear her is if she nags. Sounds to me like you never listen to her or even care what she has to say... Maybe if you would listen to her once in a while and do what she is asking the nagging may lessen and possibly even stop!

I try not to nag my husband. I nag when he hasn't done something he says he's going to do. If this is your case then do what you said you were going to and she'll stop.
If she's asked you nicely to do something and you haven't done it or even acknowledged she's asked, do it and she'll stop.
If she's nagging for the sake of nagging tell her to stop and all she needs to do is ask nicely and you'll do it.
Pretty simple really, my husband hates to be nagged, I don't blame him, but if he says he's going to do something and just plain doesn't or if I ask him and he doesn't respond with some sort of answer he'll get nagged.

I believe from my own personal marriage that I wouldnt have to nag if my husband did the small little things that I want him to do. If he would show a little respect for the little things I do, I wouldnt get so irritated with him. I dont ask for much but appreciating your wife does help. If she is nagging about senseless things then she has no right but if she is nagging about things that you know deep down are right then you should try to change the things about yourself to get her to quit nagging so much. I know sometimes I nag alot but I dont just nag about stupid things, I nag about stuff that would help us both out!

You don't. Women are born with the nag gene. Women are born to nag men and they have no control over it mainly due to the fact it is a survivng primal instinct also and they aren't even aware of it. They do it out of necessity. But to combat this us guys are born with a special gene ourselves called the selective hearing gene. This gene is wonderful because we can be in a crowded room of nagging women while we are watching tv and only hear what is on the tv instead of them.

You are probably gonna hate this answer. She is probably nagging you over something you should be doing anyway. Start doing them without being told every once in a while. If she is just being a nag about menial things, tell her to get off your back and concentrate on herself.

Every woman answering here has justified the nagging. Amazing! That should tell us something.
Tell her you will walk out the door unless she stops. Be a man.

I don't know exactly what she is nagging you about. But it can be as simple as doing what you know she wants you to do. If you just do it, then she won't have an opportunity to nag you...because it's already done. Remember when the woman of the house is happy...everyone else is happy. Think about it.
