Not to be rude, but Detroit's line-up doesn't scare anyone. It's their pitching that carried them last year. Guys like Grandeson and Monroe have some power, but they strike out a ton, and good pitching will get them out, they have some serious holes in their swings. The same thing with Inge, he has some pop, but he can be pitched to. Casey is a good line drive hitter, but he is not someone who will make an opposing pitcher afraid. They have some good hitters, Rodriguez, Guillen, and a great hitter in Sheffield, but in the A.L. alone, the Yankees and Red Sox have a lot of .300 hitters with power. Cano hit .342 last season and hit NINTH most of the year, and rarely strikes out. He's hit third for most teams, including Detroit.

The Yankees have a potential batting champ hitting 9th in Cano. The Red Sox will be better barring another horrible year from Crisp. I think the Mets are better top to bottom. The Angels are really the sleeper here as long as they keep there pitching staff healthy they will be tough to beat

This is a no brainer the yankees. Second the Red sox. I dont no bout 3rd. Either mets or detroit. check out the yankees lineup
1. Damon (about 25 stolen bases, hits over 300 and gives around 20 homers)
2. Jeter (hits over 300, 100 rbi's, 30 stolen bases, ad gives around 20 homers)
3. Abreu (can hit over 300, 100 rbi's, and can give over 30 hr's dont forget he is fast)
4. Rodrequiz (can bat over 300, 100 rbi's, threat on base paths gives about 20 or more stolen bases, give u about or over 40 long balls.)
5. Giambi ( can give over 35 homers, 100 rbi's, walks a ton, he hits for 275 batting average)
6. Matsui ( gives more then 25 homer, potential for over 100 rbi's, one of most consistent hitters, gives about 10 stolen bases)
7. Posada (anywhere from 25-30 homers, over 80 rbi's, hits around 260-280 batting average)
8. Cano or Doug
9. Cano or Doug
Cano- when you no Cano is batting 8th or 9th the yankees lineup is stonge as hell. he came in third place for batting title has a sophmore beating derek jeter. we dont no how many homers he can hit but he does have power. We now he can hit for average. steal over 15 bases and will have over 85 rbi's.
Doug- hes got power, hes not going to start everygame but will probably hit around.275 with about 60 rbi's. The reaosn is hes not going to start every game
Bench: Philips, Melky(how can he be on the bench), cairo, Will nievilies( most likely the backup catcher), phelps( plays first but can also catch),

There is a reason Sheffield can never be happy. He is a clubhouse cancer and ever since he was with Milwaukee and admitted he used to make errors on purpose he is the lowest form of life. Also an admitted steroids user of course "by mistake". Tigers gave up too much for him.

Toronto has Wells, Rios, Overbay, Glaus, and FRANK THOMAS!!. Not to mention potential .300 hitters in Reed Johnson and Aaron Hill.

I hate to admit it, but the Yankees, on paper, do. Their pitching has much to be desire though.
