How do I comfort those who just lost their loved ones? I have no idea what to do and I dont want to add to their mourning and grieving. Thanks

Just let them know you are sorry for their loss and ask if there is anything you could do for them. Suggest something like, "Do you need me to mail anything for you, pick up something?" At that point, you have said/done enough for them to know you are sincerely grieving with them. I always say sending flowers to someone is also a huge source of comfort. It says it a little more that you are thinking about them.

Just let them know if they need anything that you're there for them. Sometimes just listening and lending a shoulder to cry on is all they need. Just don't avoid them, this is a time when they need friends and family.

send them a card, donate to a charity in the name of their lost one, call them and say that you are there for them whenever they need to talk.
make them a meal and bring it over.
theres many thoughtful things you can do. just be there for them in a way that you know you can.
