I prefer to cook my own meals. It is a lot healthier to cook your own then to buy a microwavable dinner. Plus they are disgusting.
I agree with you that most women do not know how to cook. My one friend who has been married for three years cannot cook and prefers the microwave or something that is pre-made and can be shoved in the oven.
I think is great that you cook for your family, you cannot find to many guys that can actually cook, lone cook for their family.

Yes!
I do both, because microwaving sidedishes to keep them warm for the main course serving is an awesome way to keep everything hot and ready for mealtime!
I do cook meals, and put thought and preparation into them, but I have 2 out of 3 kids that would rather have something that is microwaved...example-instant mashed potatos preferred over real peeled and mashed, chicken nuggets instead of a full breast or leg of chicken (not exactly healthy foods, thank Goodness for vitamins!)
There are days at a time when something quick must be made to accomidate busy schedules,so there are frozen pizza nights, and chicken nugget surprise nights... But I'd rather cook something fresh, make loads of it, then freeze the leftovers for other "microwave nights".
Thankfully, I also have a cooking hubby who trades off the chore of meal making... guys that cook are awesome!

I cook once a week and then heat it in the microwave, being I work all the time I only have that one day to cook a decent meal so I make it last the entire week. =)

I cook 99% of the time. The 1% that I microwave is to heat up leftovers that I cooked.

Hi Johnny. I see you around in here all of the time. I cook for my family, mostly home made, but I also use my microwave a lot. Sometimes when I'm tired I use the quick micro meals, but I wouldn't live on them.

I cook good....and bake ok, I'm just not good with the whole getting it out before it burns thing.....I like to microwave better, shorter time, and if it turns out like crap I can't get blamed, lol. I like the microwavable chicken strips....
Its good you cook, women love a man who can cook....

Uh... does rehydrating something in a pot count as cooking? Or unfreezing in the oven? I rarely cook from scratch unless I have a lot of free time. So yeah I cook, but is it homemade? No. My Fiance doesn't care as long as it's hot, and he doesn't have to make it.

I have a hubby and 4 kids, I'm 28 and I cook everyday. I am constantly on the prowl for new recipes so dinner doesn't get boring.

I cook (even though I don't like it) My microwave gets used for popcorn, the kids use it to heat things, and I also use it to defrost things I need to cook.
