Is MacArthur HS a good school? Is the zip of 78233 a good area? What is the best area that is affordable while staying close to 1604 and IH-35?

Awesome! Thanks a lot. What about the zip code 78233? Is that a good area to move into? We'd be buying a home there and we're hoping that is a good area to settle down into.

Thank you all so much! I think we're going to end up looking at the 78233 area of town and possibly the Madison HS boundary area.

Yes Mac Arthur is an outstanding high school. The problem schools in NEISD lately have been Reagan, Roosevelt and Madison. These three seem to have made the 5:00 news in one way or the other. Here is the link to NEISD if you don't have it already. From there you can see boundaries, ratings and other stuff. http://www.neisd.net/

78233 is on the nicer side of town, near where I-35 and the Wurzbach Parkway meet. Also, you will be in or near the Live Oak area, which I believe is its on sub-city, with lowered speed limits and some very nice parks. Just in case, there is the Northeast Methodist Hospital within a few minutes.
