Make it be funny. Kids get really bored if people are just talking. My drama class did a puppet show on reasons why not to smoke. They loved it!! If it can only be one person just remember to make it funny and intresting!!

Berenstain bears has a great book and video on strangers. That will give a good start on appropriate material.

In addition to that here is what I tell my children.

1. An adult should never ask a child for help (help me find my puppy, where is a store, etc.)

2. A child should never accept candy or other food from a person they don't know.

3. If a person they don't know tries to speak to them they are supposed to return home immediately or go to the house of a neighbor they do know.

Have fun with it and the kids will learn while smiling

What I always told my daughter when she was young was, never get into a car with a stranger, never tallk to a stranger and that if the person talking to you doesnt know what the code word is ours was (snoopy) then run and scream if they want you to go anywhere with them.
