One of my favorite tools is a little home duty power washer. It takes in water via a garden hose, and an electric motor pumps it up to a very high pressure. The nozzle allows you to adjust the high speed stream from a more gentle broad fan right down to a needle jet.

It's very effective at taking moss off of many surfaces, including furniture. If moss is on the deck or patio, it will restore the surface to new. If you've got old redwood exposed to the elements, you'll quickly see the dirt removed and the beautiful original color of the wood removed.

Beware, though -- the high pressure water focused in the very tight jet can carve the wood, causing damage very quickly. You'll find more uses for it, too, like washing the house of dirt and such.

You can find them at any hardware supplier, at a range of costs and sizes. You can get one for this purpose for around a hundred dollars.

I just found a site with thousands of downloadable woodworking plans, it s really great. You can check it out here ( woodworkingplans.kyma.info ) Here is an honest review : If you want to start a woodworking project, you need all the necessary information, including schematics, blueprints, materials lists, dimensions etc. That is where TedsWoodworking comes in. The plans are clearly drawn and there're step-by-step explainations of how the plan should be done and put together. There are several other sites whose collection of plans have the dimensions totally wrong without any indication of parts lists, material lists or the tools needed. If you're one of those people who have bought plans like this in the past, TedsWoodworking will change your perception. In Ted's Woodworking you will get everything you need: Diagrams which are detailed with a full set of dimensions, step-by-step instructions how to start your project and the necessary materials for that particular project. All the woodworking tools you will need: If you are a beginner or have done some woodworking you will find these plans easy-to-follow as the instructions are very clearly written. The woodworking plans are straightforward so they are not complicated at all. Even if you are a total newcomer to woodworking you will simply be able to master all the techniques that are needed and the woodworking skills very quickly by following the concise and clear instructions. Another thing which is so great about these woodworking plans is that there have been some videos included and there are some to guide you in how to build benches home furniture dog houses bird feeders sheds and much much more. There is also a lifetime member acess included in the package and you get these extras for no cost to you as they are free with no additional charges at all! This alone is worth the entire price for TedsWoodworking. Ted Mcgrath is a very dedicated and experienced woodworker who knows what he is talking about when it comes to woodworking and DIY projects s he has been a woodworker for many many years. There is only one drawback that we could find and that being with 16,000 woodworking plans you are bound to get some which look a little disorganized but that is understandable as it is very difficult to place all these plans into their proper categories. Secondly, it might take you a little longer to do the downloads on because of the size of them. But the members area include an option to upgrade to the DVD so you can save time on downloading. I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars. Here's the bottom line: If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you SHOULD use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Check the site: ( woodworkingplans.kyma.info )

Moss Away!

If you live in a rainy or humid area, moss often will build up on concrete walks and decks and plastic outdoor furniture. Rather than using an expensive moss removal product, here's a simple and low cost method of removing unsightly moss. Spray it with a moderate solution of ordinary washing bleach (2/3 and water (1/3). After waiting a couple of hours for the solution to fully attack and penetrate the moss, it can be quickly blasted away with either a high pressure washer or water hose. You can use your same sprayer to apply a sealer or other treatment which will tend to slow down the build of new moss or algae.

P.S. The same solution will also zap mildew that has collected on equipment or walls of unheated sheds and equipment. A glimpse of the obvious, don't spray this solution on any fabric or other material that would be adversely impacted.

Hey My opinions: - The first line of this scene is good, makes the reader wonder what she's late for, however I suggest tagging it, as the reader doesn't realise till later whether it was the mum speaking, I thought it may have been the protagonist - Try not to use exclamation marks in the context other than the dialogue, and even yet, try to minimize the amount of those you use in dialogue too. Usually the exlamation mark should be shown, rather than told. - Cut to the chase. Though your writing is good, detailed, and mostly well written with good word use, there are some bits we don't need to know, e.g. the whole paragraph about her mascara. - Show, don't tell. Don't tell us your characters favourite show is this, show us that when she goes home, before anything, she rushes to the tele to watch the latest episode. Of course, if only it's relevant. Those are my thoughts as a whole, rather than singling out each line, but keep at it, overall you have good potential with good words :) ~ JLT

" MEAN GREEN", a cleaner that the Dollar Store sells by the gallon for $5. It'll clean anything !!!
I collect old outboards, and I use it to clean parts, because it's non flammable and cheap ! Just don't leave it on painted surfaces too long, on it'll take the paint off !!

Moss is a very stubborn stain,
but if you really want it gone, use a oven spay cleaner spray it on give it five minutes then wipe it off, if its in the vinyl or metal you can buy repair paint and just repaint the area effected, but the oven cleaner works for us. make sure you have protection for your eyes and hands and anything under it.
this stuff is deadly on stains. but more dangerous on skin.

i find the best way to get rid of it is to pour boiling water mixed with a capful of bleach and a capful of washing up liquid and pour it over the furniture then scrape off with a thin scraper.hope this helps.
