Unless making a backup copy for your own use, of something you intend to keep, you don't, it's illegal.

As for why they don't shrink - To stop pirates copying them so easily.

update your program to the latest and also get dvd decryptor, sometimes you have to use both to get the files off a dvd and then shrink them...they are getting smarter about the licensing and encryption....if you use dvd decryptor it'll allow you to "strip" the coding off and then you can copy the files onto your pc, then shrink them, then burn.

they have better encryption you cant burn them
