When I met Jesus on a train.

Banks and cuttings, trees and houses, all swept swiflty by
clouds hung for ages in the silent sky
Featureless fields, marshes and woods, horses and sheep
the rhythm of the wheel has a sorophic affect, I'm falling asleep.

Blessed are they, blessed are they who do not see
Yet believe, you have seen, and believe, Thomas
Anyone on this train will not see me
But their faith and hope is non the less

But what if this train was not here, but then, but there but then
Not filled with commuters, with laptops but Galileans
Would it be packed with the sick and the maimed
Would Jesus pass through healing each and everyone.

Once more the train pulls out from a station, and the guard
welcomes new passengers aboard
Once more there is no turning around, no going back
Once more there is the ticket check

There is never a need to buy another ticket
Never a need to change the train
For life is in the gospel and life is the train
When I met Jesus on the train.

Feel free to plagiarise as much as you need. Rhyming is not my forte and the last stanza needs some working. I had in the back of my mind the Robert Louis Stevenson's Mail Train. (which I've actually completely forgotten) The reference to Thomas can be found in John's gospel.

The switchblade landed like a splinter of glass in his azz. under the hour of darkness sky his liar's lips despatched me over the shrink. i assumed he'd ask; which thank you to Jackson highway? yet whilst he threw open his overcoat and the voices in his head clapped like thunder and white lightening - I stated; "Do your miss Amy?" on account which you dumped her skeletal keeps to be on the lanes on the bowling alley - sufferers a greenback a dime a appropriate disaster you're a perverted bastard. So close that overcoat do no longer wake the toddlers. I could bypass lower back in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it became into exciting to purpose and make some experience out of stupid. you're a lot exciting.

Use this for inspiration.

"What if God was One of Us" by Joan Osbourne <3

"If God had a face what would it look like
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in jesus and the saints and all the prophets"

What if God was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
He's trying to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody calling on the phone
Except for the pope maybe in rome"

you can make Jesus seem like He is human like us. Or you can have him share his great wisdom with us ordinary people.

Its was just a day
like any other
not to much to think about
but how we treat eachother

for riding to the city
to get some good pate
a man was rushing quickly
and so pushed me away

of course then i was angry
but had to let it go
for the cop in the seat beside me
was hungry to let his cuffs show

then i noticiced a tear in the eye
of the man who had pushed me aside
and i heard him say in his cell
that his wife was about to die

how quickly that anger was gone
i was glad i'd nothing about it
i felt his pain down deep
so hard i had to shout it

instead i reached out my hand
as he stumbled out into the rain
onto the platform i helped him
hoping jesus too, had seen him on the train.

I was lost going nowhere
Just trying to get anywhere
When a man sat by me
Empty seats all around
But this man he just sat, not making a sound
He looked at me with a sad eye
Took my hand and started to cry
Told me that on this day I was going to die
But not to worry for all is well
Atleast I wont be going to hell
And thats when i met Jesus on a train

hahahahahahahahahha

When I was travelling in Spain
That day, I met him on a train
His eyes so soft were filled with pain
He said: "Wasn't it all in vain?
'Cause everyday they do it again
When will they ever use their brain
and never fight each other again?"
I looked at him, so sweet and plain
And knew the memory would remain
Of that day, when I met Jesus on a train.

When I met Jesus on a train,
The light did shine,
No more was the rain.
I asked him what he thought of us
He said that he would put his trust
Firmly on our shoulders
I knew it was true
When I've cried in despair,
He's always been there
So I goodbye and
Thank you.

as I was traveling through Spain
visiting roman historical sites
I met a man on the train.
when asked if roman history was one of his delights
he said Romans he regarded with disdain
and when he comes to put the worlds to rights
for it is I,Jesus, the Christ, on this train
I will crucify all Romans hanging bloody in the rain

I met Jesus on a train
We were riding in the rain
I really thought it wasn't real
'Til my wallet he did steal
