why is our weekend tv all the repeats of the weeks tv..if we didnt want to watch them then do we really want to spend our weekend avoiding them again

a lot of people go somewhere on the weekends and are not home to watch tv. Networks don't want to put on new shows if nobody will watch them. The ratings would go down and then they would be cancelled.

This is exactly what I've been saying. Take ITV's Dancing on Ice for example. If you wanted to see it on Saturday you'd either watch it or tape it if your were out. Conversely if you didn't want to see it on Saturday night, then you certainly wouldn't want to watch it on a Sunday. It's lazy scheduling at it's worst! ITV2 is just one continuous Coronation Street omnibus, and the BBC devotes most of Sunday afternoon to Eastenders.

yer tell me bout it, weekends are soooooo boring now even wit digital, i remember when we all use to get together hang out grab some food an cosy together on lazy sundays to watch a bit of tele, nowadays we might as well jus sleep all day specially sundays, not much else to do!

It is the same idiot stategedy that has the cable channels repeating the same movie two or three times in a row. People are stupid and lazy.

its for those people who work and want to see what has happen so they repeat them. there is always other stations to watch besides that one.

because people might have been out in the week or the recording bugered up
