Spotting is one of the most misunderstood parts of a woman's menstrual cycle, it can be perfectly normal caused by a drop in oestrogen either from ovulation or hormonal disturbance.
Ovulation – are you noticing any other fertility signs such as fertile quality cervical mucus? i.e. stretchy, slimy, wet discharge. Perfectly normal.
Have your periods been irregular? If so then this could just be your hormones being awkward with you, it might be an idea to start taking evening primrose on a regular basis to keep your hormones balanced. It could even be another period if your periods are irregular.
Another possibility is if you have been having unprotected sex then this could be an STD, something such as Chlamydia can cause spotting like this, if you think there is a chance that you have picked up an STD then get yourself tested asap.
If it continues, gets worse or happens again then see a doctor or go to a local GUM or family planning clinic just to be on the safe side, for the moment I wouldn't worry about it too much.

RE: Bleeding/spotting two weeks after period. I am 24 years old. Currently taking birth control. Sexually active in a monogamous relationship. The last day of my period was two and a half weeks ago. I think you shouldn't worry.Because I had the same thing I think, for a long time and I used not to pay attention.I eventually went to the doctor and told me to take a blood test and we found out that it was mycosis, which is not really serious.I just took some medicine and it was gone. Go to the doctor dear!

It could be just from ovulation. OR I don't mean to scare you, but could you be pregnant? Maybe you should do a test just to check.
Otherwise, are you taking the pill? Have you missed one?
I could just be a rogue period. If it happens again next month, see the doctor. In the meantime, don't worry about it.

It could be irregular periods. This is common if you've not long started or are coming to the menopause.
