I'm going to be in Los Angeles for work during March. I tend to wear a lot of skirts, both at work and during "play time." Will I be cold? Will I need to wear nylons? I've heard that nylons/tights are a total no-no in LA. True? Will it be too cold for open-toed shoes? Thanks so much for your advice!

i think the fashion today is to wear a mini with footless tights and low ballerina shoes, the look is very cute, but also a younger look
i wouldn't suggest it for the 35+ gal
also the mini with boots is an every age look and ur toes would be warm

Skirts are fine but nylons are a big NO!! I don't know what type of work you do but if you want to avoid being cold then try wearing a long skirt. If you must wear a short one then wear leggings and closed toed shoes.

You know what? Anybody who lives here (L.A.) knows that anything goes - we see every type of style/ fashion here.

So, if you usually wear the nylons as part of your style/ look, and think they look good with your outfit, then go for it.

Personally I wouldn't wear the nylons, but I would (and do) wear skirts with regular tights and footless tights, depending on the shoes I'm wearing and the length of the skirt.

So do what you want - in L.A. no one will blink at you twice for what you're wearing.

take the tights with you: don't wear them at first
- if you feel cold then wear them

they can't moan at you, you don't live there!

it depends on the time of year, but you should take along some jeans or even warm dresses
