I have a '99 Honda Civic Ex that just stopped working. I was driving and all of a sudden, I started to lose power. I tried to accelerate, but it kept slowing down. I had oil/ gas in the car and the temp on the car was normal. I tried to start it again but it the engine will not turn over. All my lights work as well as my radio. I also didn't notice any smoke coming from the car. What could the possibilities be?

Sounds like the battery died due to the alternator not working.... when your battery dies there isn't enough voltage to power your ignition coil and your engine will slow down and eventually stop. Your battery might be able to be re-charged. Do this to check the alternator....

Have someone jump start your car, when it starts remove the positive battery terminal, if the engine dies the alternator is bad. If it stays running then the alternator is good. Also make sure your fan belt is real tight on the alternator, you could have just a broke belt and it isn't turning the alternator.

Sounds like you could have a loose ground strap. Could possibly be a problem with the cars controller. Either way, sounds like you'll be seeing one of your local mechanics to at least diagnose the problem.
